Basketball Recap: Lincoln Falls Despite Big Games from Charlotte Labossiere and Brielle Lambert

Lincoln lost against North Smithfield back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lincoln Lions took a 39-23 bruising from the North Smithfield Northmen. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Lincoln had strong showings from Brielle Lambert, who posted six points, and Charlotte Labossiere, who had five points.

North Smithfield had a senior duo take command as Mya Silveira dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds and Trinity Spas earned nine points and eight steals. Those nine points gave Spas a new career-high. Lora Halliwell was another key player, putting up six points.

Lincoln has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for North Smithfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 34-17 defeat against Rogers on the 7th. As for North Smithfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-30 win against East Greenwich on the 7th.
