Basketball Recap: Marquette Has No Trouble Against Lisbon

Marquette made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lisbon, but still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Marquette Defenders' way against the Lisbon Lions on Friday as the Marquette Defenders made off with a 58-36 win. The Defenders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Marquette's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Lisbon, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

The future could be bright for both Marquette and Lisbon: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Marquette will look to extend Prince of Peace Prep's seven-game losing streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lisbon will try to hand Cedar Valley Christian their 11th-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
