Recap: Rangely Panthers vs. Little Snake River Rattlers

The Rangely Panthers lost against the Little Snake River Rattlers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Rangely falling 44-30. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 290th in Colorado, while Little Snake River is ranked 39th in Wyoming).

When it comes to explaining why Rangely lost, one person who can't be blamed is Clay Allred. Despite the final result, he scored seven points along with six assists and four steals.

Rangely has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Little Snake River, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Rangely will head out on the road to square off against North Park at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully North Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Little Snake River won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Saratoga on January 19th. Saratoga knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Little Snake River likes a good challenge.
