Softball Recap: Auburn Comes Up Short

Auburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Helena Huskies. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Alivia Harris made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Helena, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 21-12-2.

Auburn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Alexandria on the 12th. As for Helena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-5 victory against Pell City on the 14th.
