Basketball Recap: Harrison Central Huskies vs. Bellaire Big Reds

Harrison Central was the 74-30 winner over Bellaire when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Harrison Central Huskies took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bellaire Big Reds. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellaire found their leader in sophomore Raekwon Pettigrew, who almost dropped a double-double with 37 points and nine rebounds. Pettigrew's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 30 points. Caleb Jewell was another key player, to rack up 18 points and three steals.

Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Bellaire, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

Harrison Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellaire, they will square off against Garaway at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellaire is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.
