University Prep and Durham are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Panthers will face off against the Trojans on Saturday. University Prep will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
University Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over Colusa.

Rylynn Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Caudell, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Madisyn Rubalcava was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Durham hadn't done well against Colusa recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Trojans came out on top against the RedHawks by a score of 10-7.
Durham also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Sadie Sjolund gave up five earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Durham got a big performance out of Annalee Horn, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Maggie Sjolund, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Durham hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colusa struck out seven times.
University Prep's record now sits at 13-16. As for Durham, their record is now 18-10.
University Prep skirted past Durham 2-1 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
