Volleyball Recap: Maud Comes Up Short

Maud was the 3-0 winner over Bowie when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Maud took Bowie into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-16, 16-25, 15-6.

Maud's loss dropped their record down to 12-14-1. As for Bowie, their win ended a 14-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Maud is set to challenge their familiar foe Clarksville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bowie will face off against rival Detroit at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
