Volleyball Recap: Travis Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Travis had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers on Tuesday. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Travis was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Texas School for the Deaf work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Beese, who had 12 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Travis will welcome San Marcos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they will face off against McCallum at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
