Lyons piles up the points against Clear Creek

The Lyons Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-11 victory over Clear Creek at home. That looming 55-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lyons yet this season.
Lyons had a senior duo take command as Gemma Powell scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals and Marley Chase scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Powell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gen Newell, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The win got Lyons back to even at 5-5. As for Clear Creek, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyons will take on DSST: Cedar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (DSST: Cedar is ranked 237th, while Lyons is ranked 259th). Clear Creek won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gilpin County at 12:30 p.m. on January 20th.
