Basketball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Eatonville Cruisers and fell 78-20. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Cruisers are ranked 101st).

Bailey Andersen was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds for Eatonville. Andersen's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lillian Bickford, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Eatonville, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Washington has already played their next match, a 59-34 loss against Clover Park on the 28th. As for Eatonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-37 victory against R.A. Long on the 25th.
