Baseball Recap: High Tech SD Gets the Win

High Tech SD won the last time they faced Hoover and things went their way on Monday too. The Storm came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 15-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Storm.

Neal Griswold made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Griswold was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Izo Kobayashi was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. High Tech SD is 8-1 when Kobayashi posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adrian Acevedo, who went 4-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

High Tech SD kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

High Tech SD's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Hoover, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-18-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: High Tech SD beat the Cardinals by a score of 13-1 on Tuesday.
