Clare won the last time they faced Pinconning and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp  7-1 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six  runs or more this season.
 Dane Alexander made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Ryan Louch was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and one  triple. That  triple was  his first of the season.  Chase Randall was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Clare  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in four consecutive  contests.
Clare's record is now 7-4-1. As for Pinconning, they moved to 7-6 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Coming up, Clare will challenge Beaverton at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Beavers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so the Pioneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pinconning, they will square off against Bullock Creek at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
