Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Fairdale's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

If Bullitt Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fairdale, they should've done a better job of containing Jarel Butler. The Fairdale Bulldogs blew past the Bullitt Central Cougars, posting a 99-59 victory thanks in part to Butler, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Another player making a difference was Ferlandas Wright, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last nine games he's played.

Fairdale has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.1 points per game. As for Bullitt Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
