Preview: Paoli Rams vs. Lanesville Eagles
Paoli has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Lanesville Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Paoli earned a 39-29 victory over Salem.
Paoli got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carley Higgins out in front who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Higgins' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jehrico Hopper, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lanesville put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over Providence. Lanesville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Paoli's victory lifted them to 3-4 while Salem's defeat dropped them down to 1-6.
Paoli took a serious blow against Lanesville when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 56-27. Thankfully for Paoli, Linzie Wernert (who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
