Recap: Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors vs. Terrell Academy Eagles
It was a good run, but the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 58-27 defeat at the hands of Terrell Academy. Southwest Georgia Academy lost against Terrell Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 45-44 score last time.
Southwest Georgia Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Charlie Davis, who scored six points along with three steals. Davis hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. Kj Spann was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Southwest Georgia Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for Terrell Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Southwest Georgia Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-40 victory vs. Citizens Christian Academy on the 9th. Terrell Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
