Wooster dropped their record down to 11-9-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 7-4 to the Truckee Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-3 defeat two weeks ago.

Cayden Corl made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

As for Truckee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.

On Truckee's side, Parker Bacon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on eight hits. Bacon has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Calder Finn was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Travis Dailey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Wooster will challenge North Valleys at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Truckee, they will take on Hug at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
