Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Kelley Comets vs. Jenks Trojans

The Bishop Kelley Comets will face off against the Jenks Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kelley has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight defeats, while Jenks will come in with three straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Bishop Kelley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-40 to Shawnee.

Loss or not, Bishop Kelley got some senior leadership from Julia Grisaffe and Anne Blankenship. Grisaffe dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards, while Blankenship almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Blankenship has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 27 times she's played.

Meanwhile, Jenks strolled past Enid with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-35.

Jenks' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Bishop Kelley, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
