Basketball Game Preview: Copley Indians vs. Firestone Falcons

The Copley Indians and the Firestone Falcons will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Copley will be strutting in after a victory while Firestone will be coming in after a loss.

Copley took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-60 win over Revere.

Meanwhile, Firestone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. The game between them and Garfield Community Learning Center didn't end well, with Firestone falling 71-52. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Golden Rams are ranked 132nd).

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Copley, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Copley took their win against Firestone in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 75-51. Will Copley repeat their success, or does Firestone have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
