247Sports: Five-star quarterback Julian Lewis reclassifying to 2025

USC commit joins Class of 2025 after being named MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year.

Five-star quarterback prospect Julian Lewis of Carrollton (Ga.) is reclassifying from the Class of 2026 to the 2025 cycle according to 247Sports.

Committed to USC, Lewis was ranked the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2026. He joins the Class of 2025 as the No. 14 prospect and the No. 4 quarterback behind Bryce Underwood of Belleville (Mich.), George MacIntyre of Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.) and Tavien St. Clair of Bellefontaine (Ohio).

Lewis is the reigning MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year after throwing for 3,094 yards and 48 touchdowns against just two interceptions last fall. He led Carrollton to the third round of the Class AAAAAAA playoffs in Georgia.

As a freshman, Lewis threw for more than 4,000 yards and 48 touchdowns in leading Carrollton to a 14-1 record and appearance in the state championship game. He threw for a title-game record 531 yards despite the loss and was named the 2022 MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year.

Lewis has led Carrollton to a 25-3 record over the past two seasons, completing 65.9 percent of his pass attempts for 7,212 yards and 96 touchdowns.
