Northridge hadn't done well against Greeley Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Northridge Grizzlies narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Greeley Central Wildcats 57-54. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in January, they had to take a 62-49 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryson Mena, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Mena has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Lane Agens was another key player, putting up 15 points and five boards.

Northridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greeley Central only four assists.

Despite the loss, Greeley Central had strong showings from Daniel Martinez, who went 10-for-20 on his way to 24 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, and Neamiah Carrillo, who posted 14 points and four steals. That was a full 44.4% of Greeley Central's points, marking the sixth time in a row Martinez has had more than a third of the team's points.

Northridge's record now sits at 5-15. As for Greeley Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Northridge and Greeley Central will both be playing Mountain View the next time they take the court. Northridge will head out to face Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Greeley Central will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
