Football Recap: Stony Point Comes Up Short

Stony Point lost against Vista Ridge back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell 31-21 to the Rangers. The Tigers gained 160 more yards on the day, but it was the Rangers that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Stony Point still got an impressive performance from Mason Troyer, who threw for 340 yards and a pair of TDs. The Tigers also got help from Marcus Milligan, who showed off his sure hands for 108 receiving yards.

Quinn Szczytowski went supernova For Vista Ridge., rushing for 104 yards and one score. Those 104 rushing yards gave SzczytowSki a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Lacek, who threw for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Stony Point and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Vista Ridge, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
