Volleyball Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Extends Winning Streak to Two

Standing Bear came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Elmwood-Murdock, but Zoe Zierott wouldn't allow it. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grizzlies on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1 with plenty of help from Zierott, who had 13 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Despite the loss, Standing Bear still got an impressive performance from Addie Kahle, who had nine digs and six assists. Willa Lawton also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Elmwood-Murdock and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Standing Bear, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Elmwood-Murdock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Milford on the 13th. As for Standing Bear, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Superior on the 13th.
