Softball Game Preview: Scurry-Rosser Wildcats vs. Maypearl Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Scurry-Rosser Wildcats take on Maypearl Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scurry-Rosser is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Scurry-Rosser came up short against Grandview on Friday, falling 11-1.

Scurry-Rosser saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Rhoades, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Maypearl lost 18-8 to Midlothian Heritage on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Bailey Short was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Payton Robertson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Maypearl's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-2. As for Scurry-Rosser, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
