Football Recap: Lake Orion Comes Up Short at Home Against Northville + How To Watch

Lake Orion unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Thursday and fell 14-13 to the Northville Mustangs. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Dragons couldn't quite close it out.

Northville had a senior duo take command as Max DeFore rushed for 125 yards and one TD and Cooper Derkach rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Orion will challenge Stoney Creek at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Northville, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. The matchup will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
