Basketball Recap: Edgar Comes Up Short

Edgar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 78th).

Edgar now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Iola-Scandinavia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Edgar will be playing in front of their home fans against Phillips at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Loggers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 72 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will head out to face off against Bonduel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
