Volleyball Recap: Carson Takes a Loss

The Carson Cougars came up short against the Kings Mountain Mountaineers on Saturday and fell 2-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10.

Kings Mountain was led to victory by Madi Broome and Ava Tipton. Broome had nine digs and three aces, while Tipton had 13 digs.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Kings Mountain, their victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Carson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Philip Simmons on the 16th. As for Kings Mountain, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Grimsley on the 16th.
