Basketball Game Preview: Oak Harbor Rockets vs. Eastwood Eagles

The Oak Harbor Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Eastwood Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Oak Harbor was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-42 to Norwalk. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Truckers are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Eastwood ended up a good deal behind Maumee on Thursday and lost 62-48. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastwood's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-12. As for Oak Harbor, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.

Oak Harbor was able to grind out a solid win over Eastwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 43-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oak Harbor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
