Springfield is a perfect 10-0 against Southview since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Springfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

On Wednesday, Springfield made easy work of Napoleon and carried off a 14-3 victory. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Southview and Northview faced off in a cross-town battle on Monday. The Cougars wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Springfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Southview, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Springfield took their win against Southview when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
