Lafayette took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Barbe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Lafayette sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Barbe on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 2, 2024.

Lauren Williams tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Haylan Chapman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Barbe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
