Frankfort proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 victory over the Nashville Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 on April 8th.

Frankfort got a massive performance out of Lainee Dunston, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Jenna Deason was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Frankfort kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Frankfort's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Nashville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Frankfort will square off against rival Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nashville is set to take on their familiar foe Pinckneyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
