Monte Del Sol Charter came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy, but Fabien Cheresposy wouldn't allow it. The Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy Eagles managed a 48-44 victory over the Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons on Thursday thanks in part to Cheresposy, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and four steals. He has become a key player for Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 2-15 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Johan Lopez, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-16. As for Monte Del Sol Charter, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
