Three Rivers has won three straight games at home, while Refugio has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Three Rivers has given up an average of 29.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Three Rivers is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Maria just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 56-29 loss at the hands of the Cougars.

Three Rivers' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Conn, who picked up 241 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and Paxton Soliz, who threw for 281 yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, Conn is now averaging an impressive 109.1 receiving yards per game.
Meanwhile, while Refugio put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Skidmore-Tynan. Refugio took their game with ease, bagging a 61-0 victory over Skidmore-Tynan. Fans of Refugio have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Refugio had a senior duo take command as Ray Lewis rushed for 195 yards and one score on only five carries and Zander Wills rushed for 151 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Wills is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Laytyn Garza was another key pass catcher, picking up 126 receiving yards and one TD.
Refugio was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 412 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 257 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Refugio didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daelan Edwards and Jaedynce Lewis. Jason Delossantos was another major factor on D, forcing two fumbles and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Three Rivers now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Refugio, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Three Rivers has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 361.7 total yards per game. However, it's not like Refugio struggles in that department as they've been averaging 498 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Three Rivers took a serious blow against Refugio when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 83-7. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Jordan King (who rushed for 245 yards and six scores on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
