Basketball Game Preview: Bucksport Golden Bucks vs. George Stevens Academy Eagles

Bucksport and George Stevens Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Bucksport Golden Bucks will challenge the George Stevens Academy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bucksport has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with nine straight losses, while George Stevens Academy will come in with three straight wins.

On Monday, Bucksport was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-43 to Washington Academy.

Meanwhile, George Stevens Academy was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Piscataquis 61-32.

George Stevens Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Bucksport, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
