Football Game Preview: Uniontown Red Raiders vs. Northern Garrett Huskies + How To Watch

The Uniontown Red Raiders will face off against the Northern Garrett Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Uniontown's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Uniontown's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Ironton on Saturday. They were dealt a 58-0 defeat at the hands of the Fighting Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 512th in Pennsylvania, while the Fighting Tigers are ranked 25th in Ohio).

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last contest, Northern Garrett made sure to put some points up on the board against Hampshire on Friday. The Huskies took down the Trojans 35-21.

Uniontown better keep an eye on Landon Yoder. He was instrumental in Northern Garrett's win, rushing for 84 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. What's more, Yoder racked up 102.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Northern Garrett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

One reason for the win was Northern Garrett's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ansen Miller, Evan Graham, and Cole France, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Northern Garrett's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Uniontown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Uniontown was taken down by Northern Garrett 58-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Red Raiders, Luke Ross (who rushed for 112 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also caught one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
