Soccer Game Preview: Omaha North vs. Lincoln Northeast

Omaha North is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Saturday. They will look to defend their home pitch against the Lincoln Northeast Rockets. Omaha North will be strutting in after a victory while Lincoln Northeast will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Omaha North needed a bit of extra time to put away Burke. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Omaha North were the better team in the second half.

Nevayah Zomahoun and Maryan Hassan scored all three of Omaha North's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 4-0 to Lincoln Southeast.

Lincoln Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Omaha North, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.
