Soccer Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 6-1 to the Hardee Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Manatee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 428th, while Hardee are ranked 183rd).

Manatee's goal came courtesy of Axel Felix, which was the first he's scored this season.

Manatee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Hardee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manatee will host Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hardee, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Sebring at 7:30 p.m.
