Soccer Recap: John J. Duggan Academy Takes a Loss

John J. Duggan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Commerce Red Raiders, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, John J. Duggan Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Commerce is ranked 44th).

John J. Duggan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Commerce, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-1 record this season.

John J. Duggan Academy will head out on the road to square off against Hampden Charter School of Science at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Commerce, they will welcome Holyoke at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
