Softball Game Preview: Zillah Leopards vs. Prosser Mustangs

The Zillah Leopards will head out on the road to challenge the Prosser Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Zillah fell victim to College Place and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Hawks. Surprisingly, this marked the Leopards' seventh straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Prosser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against Ephrata, falling 28-5.

Lina Lefebvre was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season.

Zillah dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Prosser, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13-1.

Zillah took their win against Prosser in their previous matchup back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Leopards since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
