Sunrise Mountain has gone a perfect 3-0 against Eldorado recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Miners will venture away from home to challenge the Firehawks at 7:00 p.m. Eldorado took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sunrise Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Sunrise Mountain is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Cheyenne on Friday. The Miners took down the Desert Shields 34-18. The Miners pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Desert Shields cut but never quite recovered from.

The critical scores for Sunrise Mountain came from Cam'Ron Ford, Jamal Thrower, and Kaylin Mills.

Sunrise Mountain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 381 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Eldorado fell victim to Silverado and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Skyhawks, falling 37-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Firehawks were not able to get on the board.

Sunrise Mountain picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Eldorado, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Sunrise Mountain has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 157.7 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Eldorado, though, as they've been averaging only 65.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Sunrise Mountain won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, slipping by Eldorado 36-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
