Baseball Recap: Lawrence Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Lawrence came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles 12-11. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Payton Camp was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lawrence's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-23 when he doesn't).

Lawrence's win bumped their record up to 4-24. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Coming up, Lawrence will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Gobles at 12:00 p.m. Heritage Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
