San Juan came tearing into Saturday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Taylorsville Warriors.

Kheirra Keith tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Morgann Mcpherson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Averie Gilson was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

San Juan now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Taylorsville, they moved to 15-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

San Juan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Taylorsville, they will take on Judge Memorial Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
