Basketball Recap: Middleburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Trinity Christian Academy last Tuesday, Middleburg came back down to earth. The Middleburg Broncos lost 50-24 to the Eagle's View Warriors on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-40 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Middleburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiyana Haynes posted 11 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Middleburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Eagle's View, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Middleburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-27 win against Clay on the 10th. As for Eagle's View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-20 victory against First Coast Christian on the 10th.
