Baseball Game Preview: Pahrump Valley Trojans vs. Chaparral Cowboys

For the second straight game, Pahrump Valley will face off against Chaparral. The Trojans will welcome the Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pahrump Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Chaparral's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Pahrump Valley came out on top against Chaparral on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run third inning. The Trojans blew past the Cowboys 16-1. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Kayne Horibe was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Whitney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Chaparral is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15. As for Pahrump Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season.
