Softball Recap: Gallatin Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Gallatin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Helena, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Raptors were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bengals on Tuesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Raptors, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Addison Bleile spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Gallatin let Parker Stevens and Zoe Bassham run wild. Stevens scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Bassham scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Shayla Clark was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Gallatin pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Helena, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Gallatin will square off against Billings West at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Bears will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Raptors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Helena, they will face off against Butte at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
