Basketball Game Preview: Gideon Bulldogs vs. Clarkton Reindeer

The Gideon Bulldogs will square off against the Clarkton Reindeer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Two weeks ago, Gideon ended up a good deal behind Twin Rivers and lost 70-55. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Royals are ranked 143rd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-30, which was the final score in Clarkton's tilt against Bernie on Tuesday. The Reindeer have struggled against the Mules recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Clarkton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gideon, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
