Volleyball Recap: Rockbridge Academy Takes a Loss

Rockbridge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Mount Airy Christian Academy. While the Scots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Mount Airy Christian Academy 25-21 in the first set.

Rockbridge Academy couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Mount Airy Christian Academy a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 28-30, 25-23, 15-12.

Rockbridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge Academy will challenge Redeemer Classical Christ at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greater Grace Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m.
