Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Patriots vs. JW North Huskies

The Heritage Patriots will head out to challenge the JW North Huskies at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Heritage has four straight wins, JW North has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, Heritage earned a 7-4 victory over Moreno Valley.

Meanwhile, JW North started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Poly. They came up short against the Bears on Saturday, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Huskies have suffered against the Bears since May 15, 2021.

JW North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Sanchez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

JW North's loss dropped their record down to 5-19-1. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Heritage couldn't quite get it done against JW North in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 5-0. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
