Basketball Recap: Peoples Academy Comes Up Short

Peoples Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 61-48 to the Lamoille Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-49 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Peoples Academy lost, don't look at Jack Lafayette. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. The matchup was Lafayette's tenth in a row with at least 18 points.

Peoples Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lamoille, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoples Academy will venture away from home to face off against Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 209 points over their last three games. As for Lamoille, they will head out on the road to take on Thetford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
