Basketball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown and Weed squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Middletown had to settle for second. They fell 70-63 to the Weed Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Weed, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 25-6.

Middletown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weed, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Weed Cougars duke it out with Fortune Early College Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fortune Early College is on a six-game streak of home wins, Weed a 14-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
