Football Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Excelsior Springs extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Raytown Bluejays, falling 35-12. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bluejays from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

As for Raytown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Raytown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Frank McCuiston, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown. Roger Haney did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards.

Excelsior Springs has already played their next matchup, a 56-6 defeat against Smithville on the 26th. As for Raytown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-8 win against Ruskin on the 26th.
